Product details
S/FTP patch cable of category 6A (ISO/IEC). 100% tested according to ISO/IEC standards (European standard). Halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket. Conductors made of 100% copper. Gold-plated connectors with strain relief. Shielding. The conductors made of 100% copper are double-shielded. A conductor is a wire made up of many thin individual strands, making it flexible. Additionally, it has high tensile strength. The cable also features strain relief. Unlike conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: the dangerous release of halogen-containing combustion gases is thus excluded. Another advantage is that the exposure to toxic gases (such as hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-resistant and do not exhibit a dangerous ignition cord effect. Furthermore, halogen-free cables produce less smoke in the event of a fire. Screened Foiled Twisted Pair (S/FTP) refers to cables that have a metallic shield around each pair of wires (FTP) and an additional overall metallic shield (S). In shielded cables, there are hardly any impedance or reactance deviations compared to unshielded ones. The transmission parameters remain relatively constant and are better than those of UTP cables, even at high frequencies. Category 6A. Category 6 augmented (Cat 6A) is a standard that arises from the increased bandwidth requirements of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10 GBASE-T). Cat 6A cables are designed for transmission frequencies up to 500 MHz and distances up to 100 m, and they are backward compatible with existing categories.
