Walimex Follow Focus Snap-On Pro

The Follow Focus Snap-On Pro is a high-quality precision component made from machined aluminum, allowing you to achieve professional and precise focus shifts during your film shoots. It conveniently mounts onto the rig (15 mm rails) via a Snap-On mechanism, meaning the Follow Focus simply clips onto the rails and locks in place. This way, for example, the matte box does not need to be removed during installation or disassembly.

Additionally, the Follow Focus Snap-On Pro features two quick stops that are permanently integrated into the Follow Focus and can be freely adjusted using two locking screws. With these, you can precisely define the range of the desired focus transition, thereby limiting the travel distance of the focus shift.

The large focus wheel is also machined from aluminum and is very grip-friendly due to its size and ribbed surface. Once mounted on the rig, the Follow Focus can be easily shifted left or right to achieve an exact fit on the lens ring. The gear wheel can be mounted on either side of the gear shaft, providing various mounting options on your rig (left or right of the lens, above or below the rig). This eliminates space issues with other equipment on your shoulder rig.

The included Mark Ring is fixed to the Follow Focus with three magnets and can be written on with a marker to indicate the desired focus range, for example, when using an external focus puller or when the use of quick stops is not desired. The Follow Focus Mark Ring is available as an accessory or replacement part under item number 21442, in case a ring is lost in the hustle of shooting. Of course, the handwheel of the Follow Focus Snap-On Pro also features the standard connection for a FF whip, FF crank, or flexible FF rod.
