The analog input module is responsible for powering the field-mounted transducers and transmitting analog measurement signals galvanically isolated to the bus system. The supply voltage of 24 V is fed through the power contacts for the field. The shield connection is directly routed to the mounting rail. The overload protection switches off the measurement input at a current of approximately 25 mA, putting it into a high-resistance state. This high-resistance state is automatically reset when returning to the normal measurement range. This module provides the power supply for 2-wire transducers that do not have their own power supply.
