Incremental Encoder Interface; DC 24 V; Single-Ended; 32 Bit

The bus terminal provides an interface for various incremental encoders with different connections.

A counter with a quadrature decoder and a latch for the zero pulse can be read and activated by the controller. The controller can set the counter. Depending on the operating mode, when a positive edge occurs at the "C" or "Latch" input, the counter value is transferred to the latch register, and the counter is initialized.

The speed (increments/ms) is automatically captured and can alternatively be transmitted to the controller instead of the latch value.

The "Gate" input allows the counter to be locked. The "Ref" input can be used to activate the function of the zero mark "C".

Through the cam outputs (N1, N2), the bus terminal signals whether the counter value is within defined windows. The window areas can be individually adjusted.

The bus terminals require a supply voltage of DC 24 V, from which the power supply for the encoder (Ue, U0) is also derived.

The shield connection is directly routed to the mounting rail.
