3-Phase Power Measurement AC 480 V 5A. The 3-phase power measurement module enables the measurement of electrical data in a three-phase supply network. The voltage is measured via the network connection at the terminals L1, L2, L3, and N. The current of the three phases is fed through current transformers at the terminals IL1, IL2, IL3, and IN. The preprocessing of the 3-phase power measurement module provides effective values in the process image without requiring high computing power on the control system. Based on the effective values for voltages (U) and currents (I), the 3-phase power measurement module calculates the active power (P) and energy consumption (W) for each phase. From these values, apparent power (S) and the phase shift angle (φ) can be easily derived. Thus, the 3-phase power measurement module allows for comprehensive network analysis via the fieldbus. Based on the values for voltage, current, active and apparent power consumption, as well as load condition, the system operator can optimize the supply of a drive or machine and protect the system from damage and failures.
