Visaton TIW 200 XS woofer, 8 Ohm

20 cm (8") high-end woofer specifically designed for small subwoofers. The extra-wide rubber surround, long voice coil, and particularly large magnet system allow for extreme excursions. The multiple ventilation of the voice coil (pole core drilling, holes in the pole plate, openings in the aluminum die-cast basket for rear ventilation of the centering) minimizes losses and airflow noise. The voice coil former made of Kapton and the long voice coil allow for very high loads. The diaphragm is a sandwich construction made of fiberglass layers and polyester fabric, resulting in particularly low resonance. These design details lead to high sound pressure levels and excellent deep bass reproduction even in small enclosures.
