The Viewsonic XG2705 is touted as a purebred gamer, but in the test it proved to be more of a good all-rounder with gaming suitability.
The 27-inch (68.58 cm) display of the Viewsonic XG2705 offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a refresh rate of 144 Hertz. The fast IPS panel provides a response time of just one millisecond. Thanks to AMD FreeSync and Adaptive-Sync, the refresh rate is dynamically adjusted to the calculated FPS, provided the graphics card supports it.
The Viewsonic XG2705 displays 16.7 million colors and fully covers the sRGB color space. The maximum brightness is 250 cd/m², and the static contrast ratio is 1000:1. The IPS panel offers stable viewing angles of 178 degrees, ensuring that the image is presented accurately from all perspectives.
The gaming monitor is entirely black, and the display is framed by a very narrow bezel, giving the Viewsonic XG2705 a modern appearance. The display can be tilted, swiveled, and height-adjusted. It can also be rotated 90 degrees into pivot mode. For mounting on alternative monitor stands, VESA mounting holes are available with a spacing of 100 x 100 millimeters.
Viewsonic equips the XG2705 with a DisplayPort and two HDMI ports. Additionally, the screen features a 3.5-millimeter audio jack for connecting headphones or desktop speakers. For multimedia playback, it also includes built-in stereo speakers with a power output of 2 watts each.
