This T-adapter allows you to connect two devices using just one existing connection and works as follows: Two rooms (a living room with the router and a study with two PCs, but only one wall socket) are each connected to a network socket, but two devices need to be connected in the study. You connect the connection doubler to the socket in the living room and run two network cables from the router into the two ports on the connection doubler. In the study, you connect the second connection doubler to the wall socket and then connect the two computers there. The connection doubler is used to connect two devices over a single line (for example, in the wall). Two of these adapters are always required. With RJ-45 couplings, other scenarios can also be covered.
Important: 8-wire cables must be used (Cat. 5e or higher). A maximum speed of 100 MBit/s is possible. PoE does not work over these connections.
