WS3294 is a WiFi Mini PCIe module based on the Mediatek MT7615, a WiFi Mini PCIe single-chip that supports a PHY rate of 1733 Mbps. It fully complies with the IEEE 802.11ac and 802.11 a/b/g/n standards, providing feature-rich wireless connectivity at a high level, as well as reliable, cost-effective throughput over long distances.

The optimized RF architecture and baseband algorithms ensure excellent performance and low power consumption. The intelligent MAC design utilizes a highly efficient offload engine and hardware data processing accelerators, completely relieving the host processor of Wi-Fi tasks. The MT7615 supports standard-based features in security, quality of service, and international regulations, delivering the best performance to the end user at all times and under all circumstances.

The MT7615 supports simultaneous dual-band operation in the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands (DBDC, Dual-Band-Dual-Concurrent).

With the introduction of 802.11ac, Multiuser-MIMO (MU-MIMO) was defined. The MT7615 supports MU-MIMO with various configurations. An access point is capable of utilizing its antenna groups to transmit multiple frames to different clients simultaneously over the same frequency spectrum.
