Data transmission using CCA (aluminium) CCA refers to bi-metallic single and multi-core wires/cables with a copper-plated aluminium core for higher-frequency applications. The skin effect, also known as current displacement, is a physical phenomenon caused by higher-frequency alternating currents. As the frequency increases, the current density inside the conductor becomes lower than that on the outer surface. The inner cross-sectional area of a conductor through which high-frequency alternating current flows has practically no transmission function.
