Product details

Features

  • Measures the reflectivity of a surface
  • Can be used to detect/follow lines
  • Can measure distances of approximately 0-10 mm

Details

The Line Bricklet is equipped with an optical reflective sensor. The sensor consists of an infrared emitter and a phototransistor. The output of the sensor is the reflectivity of the surface.

The reflectivity value can be used to detect lines (for example: a black line has a different reflectivity than a white background). The Line Bricklet can also be used to measure distances to a surface, as the received light decreases with increasing distance.
