Category 6A
Category 6A data cables are derived from Cat 6 and are backward compatible with the standards of lower categories (Cat 6/5e and Cat 3). Category 6A extends beyond Category 6, enabling transmission frequencies of up to 500 MHz (per pair) and 10 Gbit/s throughput. It includes features and specifications to prevent interference and noise. This type of data cable can be used in 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 10GBASE-T compliant systems.
