The Mini-ITX PC case was originally intended for internal use at Teenage Engineering. Due to high demand, it is now available in a limited edition under the name computer-1 for everyone.

Teenage Engineering has made it a habit to create their own tools. When it comes to computers, all engineers have very different needs. The electrical and mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and programmers could not agree on which standard to use in their office. Therefore, based on the DIY concept of the Pocket Operator Modular, a small and simple Mini-ITX PC case was developed that engineers could fill with any components they wanted.
