SATA to IDE hard drive adapter from StarTech. This adapter allows IDE-based 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives (PATA) to be used in most SATA HDD docking stations. It supports 40-pin (3.5 inch) and 44-pin (2.5 inch) IDE hard drives. The robust metal construction supports large drives with 48-bit LBA. The adapter is compatible with SATA version 1.0 and PATA-66/100/133 Mbps hard drives (IDE). Mounting holes are available for IDE hard drives with 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch form factors. The mounting style of the SATA/IDE adapter allows it to be attached to an IDE/ATA hard drive and inserted into a SATA hard drive dock slot. The adapter can also be used for installing IDE hard drives on desktop computers that only support SATA.
