This high-quality removable drive bay for Serial ATA hard drives is a professional SATA hot-swap solution that allows you to quickly install and remove Serial ATA hard drives from a computer without having to open the computer case. The drive bay is fully compatible with RAID installations to ensure maximum performance and versatility for enhanced storage applications.

To optimize performance and take full advantage of the speed potential of SATA III hard drives, this HDD backplane supports SATA III with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbit/s when used with a compatible controller.

Simply mount the drive bay into an available 5.25-inch drive bay of the host computer and insert a 3.5-inch SATA HDD into the (removable) caddy. Connecting the SATA hard drive to the computer is straightforward. Slide the caddy into the drive bay, which can also be locked to prevent unauthorized removal of the drive. It features a ball-bearing fan in the front panel, aluminum construction, and supports up to 25,000 insertion cycles.
