With the 40-pin IDE to SATA adapter IDE2SAT2, you can connect a SATA I/II/III drive to an available IDE/ATA 33/66/100/133 motherboard port. This cost-effective solution allows you to add newer SATA drives while keeping your existing motherboard.
The IDE/SATA adapter is an economical way to bridge the gap between newer 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch, and 5.25-inch SATA drives and older IDE motherboard ports. The IDE2SAT2 also supports ODDs (optical disc drives), enabling you to use Blu-ray, DVD, or CD-ROM drives with older IDE motherboards.
