The compact HDMI switch in a robust metal housing serves as a reliable switch between different HDMI devices. The selection of the input or output signal is done manually at the push of a button.

1x2 Function: You can switch 1 signal source, such as a receiver, to 1 of 2 possible outputs, such as a TV or projector. Parallel output from both outputs is not possible. The significant advantage over a splitter is that the TV and projector do not interfere with each other during the handshake. For example, if the projector can only handle 720p and the TV can handle 1080p, the TV would also only receive 720p with a splitter.

2x1 Function: You can switch 2 signal sources to 1 device as needed. For instance, a receiver or a DVD player can be connected to a TV. With the HDMI switch, you can switch bidirectionally at the push of a button, thus sending the signal from the receiver or the signal from the DVD player to the TV. The switching is done manually, not automatically.

Be ready for the future: Ultra HD TVs are increasingly dominating the TV market. Traditional Full HD technology is unable to process sharp UHD image signals, resulting in the image being downscaled to the inferior 1080p resolution.
