Product details

The SparkFun 3-Phase Brushless Motor Driver, equipped with the TMC6300 from ADI and Trinamic, is a powerful and user-friendly electronic module specifically designed for controlling brushless gimbal motors. This module can be used to control any 3-phase BLDC or PMSM motors with a maximum drive current of up to 2A (1.4ARMS). The separate control of the high and low voltage sides of the three half-bridges allows for precise control of each phase of motor commutation. The driver also features protection functions against overheating and short circuits, as well as a diagnostic output to indicate system errors. With a regulated output of 1.8V and an operating voltage of up to 2V, the TMC6300 is ideal for energy-efficient microcontroller and battery-powered applications.

  • Separate control of the high and low voltage sides for precise motor commutation
  • Integrated protection functions against overheating and short circuits
  • Diagnostic output to indicate system errors
  • Suitable for battery-powered designs with a minimum of two AA/NiMH cells or one to two Li-Ion cells
  • Optimized layout design for easy integration on breadboards.
