Product details

The SparkFun Beefy 3 FTDI Basic Breakout is a versatile electronics module based on the FTDI FT231X USB-to-Serial IC. It provides a user-friendly interface for connecting to both official and cloned 3.3V Arduino boards, as well as for general serial applications. With an integrated AP2112K voltage regulator, this module can handle a current load of up to 600 mA, making it ideal for projects that require higher power. The pin layout of the board is designed to be compatible with the FTDI cable, and it allows for automatic resetting of the Arduino target when uploading a new sketch. This greatly simplifies programming, as the reset button does not need to be pressed manually. Additionally, TX and RX LEDs are present to provide visual feedback on serial traffic, helping to verify the functionality of the module.

  • Integrated AP2112K voltage regulator for up to 600 mA current load
  • Automatic reset of the Arduino target when uploading sketches
  • TX and RX LEDs to indicate serial traffic
  • Compatible with official and cloned 3.3V Arduino boards
  • Pin layout matches the FTDI cable for easy integration.
