Kratos and Atreus embark on a mythical journey to find answers and allies before Ragnarok arrives. Santa Monica Studio presents the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018). Kratos and Atreus must traverse each of the nine realms to uncover answers while preparing for the prophesied battle that is said to herald the end of the world. Together, they must delve deep into the nine realms as the forces of Asgard prepare for war. Along their way, they explore breathtaking mythical landscapes, gather allies from all realms, and face terrifying foes such as Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarok looms ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms. Atreus is in search of knowledge that will help him understand the significance of "Loki's" prophecy and his role in Ragnarok. Kratos must decide whether to remain trapped by the fear of repeating his past mistakes or to break free in order to be the father Atreus needs. The Leviathan Axe, the Blades of Chaos, and the Guardian Shield return, joining a whole arsenal of abilities available to Kratos and Atreus. Battles against gods and monsters from all nine realms put Kratos' relentless Spartan skills to an unprecedented test as he strives to protect his family.
