The MOTION-CONNECT 500 from Siemens is an innovative single-cable connection specifically designed for use with the SINAMICS S210 servo drive and the SIMOTICS S-1FK2 servo motor. This solution enables a simple, fast, and secure connection between components by reducing the usual wiring of two or three lines to just a single cable. The single-cable technology with the SPEED-CONNECT quick release combines power, encoder connection, and brake control into one line. This results in significant time savings during installation and reduces the space required for cable management. Particularly in hygiene-sensitive industries, it is advantageous that only one cable needs to be cleaned. The cable is available in precise decimeter lengths and offers a motor-side connector in M17 or M12 form, making installation easier even in tight spaces. With an IP65 protection rating at both ends, the extension cable is ideally suited for industrial applications.
