The SITOP SEL1400 selectivity module is the optimum addition to all 24 V power supplies for splitting and monitoring the load current on several current branches. Overload and short-circuit in one or more branches are reliably detected. Short-term current peaks, due to high inrush current, are allowed by the electronics; branches with longer overloads are de-energised. This is ensured even on high-impedance lines and with creeping short circuits. The intact feeders are supplied with 24 V without any interruption or feedback, thus minimising system downtimes. The faulty feeder is signalled via LEDs on the unit as well as via a group signal contact or diagnostic monitor.
