As a combined windscreen and suspension solution, the kit includes everything needed to protect a handheld digital recorder from wind noise outdoors and to isolate it from unwanted vibrations, whether from handling or background noise. It is aimed at journalists, filmmakers, or anyone using a handheld digital recorder for professional-quality audio recordings in outdoor settings. It can be used for both outdoor recordings and simple audio podcasts or outdoor radio reports. With the new 1/4" to 3/8" swivel adapter, the suspension fits any portable recorder with a 1/4" threaded socket. The suspension can then be mounted onto a 3/8" external thread, a microphone stand, or attached to the hot shoe of a camera. The 180° swivel allows for easy alignment of the recorder, ensuring it points directly at the speaker.
