The Roland SPD-20PRO Octapad is a digital drum pad featuring eight responsive pads, making it ideal for versatile performances across all music genres. It builds on the 20-year legacy of the SPD-20 and integrates updates for modern use while maintaining authentic percussion sounds. This model includes over 900 instruments and supports 200 user kits with preset kits and kit chain functionality for up to 16 chains. Each pad supports two layers, and the Padlink function allows for stacking up to four sounds. The dimensions are 45 cm in width, 35 cm in depth, and 7.2 cm in height, with a weight of 3.7 kg, ensuring portability. Connection options include a 6.3 mm headphone output, mono and stereo outputs, mix-in input, four external trigger inputs, hi-hat control, MIDI in/out, and a USB-A port for storage. It operates with a 12V DC adapter at 500 mA power consumption. Effects include ambience, kit EQ, compression, and 38 types of multi-effects, along with a 16-character, two-line display and LED indicators.
