Remo Kanjira

The traditional Kanjira offers the authentic sound of the original South Indian Kanjira with enhanced low frequencies and crisp slap tones. Made from an Acousticon shell, a synthetic drumhead featuring Skyndeep lizard skin graphics, a 1-inch jingle set, and a 30-degree radial bearing edge. The traditional Kanjira can be easily tuned by inserting a 5/64-inch Allen wrench (included) into a recessed keyhole and turning the wrench in small increments. This allows the player to achieve a low pitch while bending and modulating the drumhead just like the original, unaffected by climate changes. The Kanjira fits comfortably in the player's hand and produces a dry tone with a short decay. Size 7" in antique brown wood grain.
