30 days unlimited 300 Mbit/s
A sim card that is not tied to a long contract sounds excellent to me, the problem with that is that you can only get close to the promised speed with a perfect location. By the way, approximate means just under 100 mbit/s. For the most part, I can barely watch videos at 480 p, let alone load Instagram or Twitter. Absolutely unusable. Have expected nothing else from Sunrise, but had hope because of the cooperation with Galaxus. Here, however, only potential short-lived numbers were calculated.
Digital Republic or Sunrise simply switched off the mobile phone antenna in my neighbourhood for 3 days. Not a chance. As a gesture of goodwill, they refunded me the 10 euros? Why should they? "It is stated in our terms and conditions that there may be outages.
A technical malfunction is one thing, but a planned overhaul that lasts 3 days is something completely different.
Just imagine someone operating an "important" IoT application such as a surveillance camera, a defibrillator station that alerts the ambulance, a life tracker for hikers/paraglider pilots or the ECG smartwatch of a pensioner with a heart defect.
One should be transparent here and add to the description "We don't give a shit if you can't work in your home office for 3 days and suffer loss of wages".
Best regards
Digital Republic
Tested it basically all over switzerland. Graubünden, Mountains (Davos / Lenzerheide), Berner Oberland, Zurich, Bern, Seeland.. etc.
You’ll always have a connection - just a bad one AND a very slow one. Max download speed I had once was 23mb/s - nothing close to the promised 300mb/s (& I didnt expect it to reach the 300mb/s - but c’mon at least 150? 200?? Nope..)
You’d expect it to be better near the big cities.. actually not, mostly was even worse for some reason!
If need it to check your email once or twice, it ok (but then get a slower option). If you need it for Homeoffice, Streaming, Onlinemeetings —> forget it!! Its too slow, i tried :/
I ended up using my phone/hotspot cause it was faster.
Contra
Only 10-12 Mbit/s
Day 1 still impressive 5 MBit/s, day 3 then just 100 kBit/s (!) in the big city, so it was already tedious to write this review (by the way, corresponds to 0.03% (!) of the 300 MBit/s advertised. I'll be giving Digitec/Sunrise a wide berth in future.
