The RAK12010 is a WisBlock sensor that enhances the WisBlock system with the capability to measure ambient light. It utilizes the VEML7700 chip from Vishay Semiconductors with an I2C interface, making it easy to build a system for ambient light detection. The VEML7700 sensor is suitable for applications in automation technology, lighting control, environmental monitoring, and many other fields where brightness measurement is required. The WisBlock ecosystem from RAK Wireless offers compact and modular solutions for creating your own IoT LoRaWAN nodes. Various CPU, sensor, and IO expansion modules can be mounted on a WisBlock Base Board. Unlike traditional connectors, the modules are secured to the base board with screws, providing a safe and reliable fastening with industrial quality. Due to its modular and compact design, WisBlock is particularly well-suited for prototyping applications in both professional and hobbyist settings.
