It is best to use the HDDs recommended by the NAS manufacturer with at least a 5-year warranty.
Hello, yes you can install Windows 10 on both disks, as on any other internal disk. The WD Gold is intended for data centres or NAS (rather enterprise or high-end). It performs very well for these applications. If you want to install Windows 10, I understand it's for PC use, so the WD Black is the most suitable, as that's its area of focus. The difference in performance between these two models should also be imperceptible on a PC. On the other hand, both models are very noisy in their 10Tb versions, unlike the smaller Black and Gold and especially the larger Gold. I had to return my 10TB Golds, because they were much too noisy in my NAS locked in a cupboard.
As long as there is a free SATA port, it should be possible without any problems.
It's not the sellers' fault. https://www.heise.de/news/Kryptowaehrung-Chia-treibt-die-Festplattenpreise-nach-oben-6042882.html https://www.heise.de/news/Kryptowaehrung-Chia-verursacht-Lieferprobleme-in-Asien-6045592.html
