According to the manufacturer, there is no other way to update the firmware. On their website they provide the following information on how to solve this problem: - Check whether the latest version of the app has been downloaded - Check whether the speakers have a Wi-Fi connection, the update is not transmitted via Bluetooth - Have the speakers connected to the power supply before the update is started - If problems persist, restart the speakers

Unfortunately no, I have already given up hope. I sent an email to Ultimate Ears in 2017, but nothing has come back yet... Hello Ultimate Ears Team I was thrilled with your UE Boom 2 speakers and so I thought your new UE Megablast speakers would top them again, but far from it! When I bought the UE Megablast last December 2017, I was so disappointed that I almost returned them. At that time, the app was not yet available in the Swiss App Store, so I had to create a German account to install the app. Afterwards, I discovered that Alexa could not be operated in German, even though it was displayed in the app. was displayed in the app. Now, after a few updates, it works, but the functions are very limited. If I'm only connected to my iPhone X via Bluetooth and want to play YouTube Premium, I can't skip or pause the individual tracks, which is a shame. - Furthermore, the 3.5mm jack connector has been removed, although there is a visible cut-out on the speaker! - What happened to hitting the speaker to skip the track, like on the UE Boom 2? - Where is the NFC function to pair the speaker with Android smartphones, like on the UE Boom 2? - Where has the remote power on via the app gone, which used to exist for UE Boom 2 and has now just been removed without comment (let alone ever finding its way onto the new UE Blast and Megablast app to turn on the UE Megablast)! This was my killer feature and you just took it away! - Why don't you build a universal USB-C port into such a new speaker to charge the speakers faster and still connect the speaker to the smartphone via a USB-C to AUX adapter (unfortunately this was also missed with the new UE Boom 3!)? Thank you for your understanding and kind regards - Phone/OS version: iPhone X - iOS 11.4.1 - App version Appstore version 1.9.7.112 (1.7.112 version under Help in the app) - Speaker Firmware: 2.2.172 PS: Tried the steps below several times, but they did not improve the problems described above: - Restarted iPhone - App reinstalled - App restarted - Restarted Megablast - Megablast reset - Checked for new version PPS: - Is there any hope of Google Assistant making its way into Megablast, because Alexa understands me more poorly than not, but Google Assistant (iPhone app) does almost 100% of the time? - Will YouTube Premium/Music Google Play Music also be added to the Spotify integration?
