The maximum internal data transfer rate of this hard drive is 281 MB/s. This speed is supported by CMR technology, a speed of 7200 rpm and a 512 MB cache, which enables fast and reliable data transfer in NAS environments.

The cache is 512 MB, the storage technology is CMR (Conventional Magnetic Recording). The hard drive is filled with air, not helium. The maximum workload rate is up to 180 TB per year. The maximum internal transfer rate is not explicitly stated, but the interface is SATA 6.0 Gbit/s, and the speed is 7,200 rpm.

The hard drive is equipped with conventional air filling (not helium), as it uses CMR technology (Conventional Magnetic Recording) and no helium filling is specified. The maximum internal data transfer rate is determined by the SATA III interface at 6 Gbit/s (approx. 600 MB/s). The hard drive has a speed of 7200 rpm and a 512 MB cache, which enables high data transfer rates and performance for NAS applications. A specific maximum internal data transfer rate in MB/s is not explicitly stated, but the SATA 6 Gbit/s interface is the limiting factor.

Yes, you can also use this hard drive without a NAS without any problems. It is a conventional internal hard drive with a SATA III connection and can be used in any PC or server that supports this connection. The hard drive is robust and designed for continuous operation, which also makes it suitable for other applications.

No real technical difference, already bought the two products (usually I got for the one which is less expensive at the moment of purchase). Same date of fabrication, only one letter changes between manufactory's references. If I remember correctly the only thing different is that one is Bulk (comes in a protective cardboard box with foam and all) and the other comes in a "pretty" Toshiba package. Hope this helps !

Here is a description of how you should proceed, as explained by vecors99: Initialise hard disk under Windows. New hard disks must be initialised under Windows before you can use them. We will show you how to do this Link: https://www.heise.de/tipps-tricks/Festplatte-initialisieren-unter-Windows-4051142.html

The HDWG31GUZSVA (G) is a disk labelled by Toshiba as an N300 NAS disk, the HDWR31GUZSVA (R) is an X300 performance disk labelled by Toshiba more as a gamer disk. The specifications are probably skewed at Digitec (also the price ;) ). Greetings

Good question, Madpad33! Unfortunately, I can't answer it. But I also have another question: Why do I, as a buyer of this HD from Digitec, get Madpad33's question forwarded to me, when it has nothing to do with the product? Not exactly clever, this A.I. :-)
