The Sony ZV-1 does not have a 20-minute maximum recording limit for movies, and it does not have a strict time limit for continuous video recording. However, there are some practical limitations to consider:
- The camera can record continuously until the memory card is full or the battery runs out.
- For 4K video, the camera can record up to the memory card's capacity or until the battery is depleted, but it does not have a specific time limit like 20 minutes.
- It's worth noting that the camera may shut down temporarily to cool down if it overheats during extended recording sessions, but this is not a fixed time limit.
In summary, the Sony ZV-1 does not have an unlimited movie length in the sense that it can record indefinitely without any interruptions, but it does not have a strict 20-minute limit either.
I have the camera running on the USB power supply. The camera has never been discharged, except once when the USB charger was not connected to the power supply. You don't notice that then. Sometimes the camera is on for days.
Connection cable to what? There will be the usual scope of delivery of the Sony cameras. A USB cable and a power supply unit to charge the battery in the camera. HDMI cables are unlikely to be included.
