Does the camera charge while taking remote pictures via software and cable? Or will the battery simply run out at some point?

Helpful answer
I have the camera running on the USB power supply. The camera has never been discharged, except once when the USB charger was not connected to the power supply. You don't notice that then. Sometimes the camera is on for days.
