Yes is possible, since this lens is already quite "old", I would rather look at Tamron or Sigma for newer possibilities.

If you are looking for a good lens, you should take the 24-105. The image quality is much better than that of the 24-240. I have the 24-105 myself. The question is whether the 105 mm is enough for you.
