The Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS is an APS-C lens and is not specifically designed for full-frame cameras such as the Sony Alpha 7 IV. However, it is technically possible to use APS-C lenses on a full-frame camera by activating the APS-C mode. This reduces the resolution as only part of the sensor is utilised. One disadvantage is that the full resolution of the camera is not utilised and the image quality could be impaired in comparison to a full-frame lens. In addition, APS-C lenses that are not designed for full-frame format could cause vignetting if they are used without APS-C mode.
Works on the 7R III, but only APS-C (hence the E and not FE). A travel lens if it should be light with quite good optics, which underchallenges the 7R and in my opinion is not suitable for sports and certainly not indoors.
Hi ZitaW420,
The zoom of this lens can only be operated manually.
Whether the lens is suitable for filming or not depends on other factors, such as the camera you are using.

Such a question is better addressed in a specialist forum such as the German Sonyalphaforum.de. There are also users there who use this lens on full-frame. I don't understand the sense behind it myself. There is the FE 70-300 G for full-frame.
