Yes, that works :-) 2.5" SATA ports have a speed of around 500-600 MB/s - so it would go faster. But it is sufficient for most applications :)

As I understand it: At digitec, the warranty is 36 months (= 3 years). The manufacturer is free to give even longer factory guarantees, such as 60 months (= 5 years). Some suppliers also cover the factory warranty or sometimes go beyond it. Legally, a 2-year guarantee seems to be sufficient. With this product, digitec is currently in the middle of the field.

This is probably due to a setting in the BIOS of the notebooks. AHCI mode must be set in the BIOS. Older notebooks in particular do not normally have this activated, but it is important for SSDs in general, not just for the Scandisk Ultra 3D. Where to find the setting depends on the BIOS. Just search for it.

Yes, it is compatible, but according to this installation guide, you also need a mounting frame like this : - Mushkin SSD 2.5" auf 3.5" Einbaurahmen - Corsair Montagehalterung 2.5" zu 3.5" Alternatively => According to this guide, you can replace the optical drive and install the SSD with this mounting frame : RaidSonic ICY BOX IB-AC649 So you will have Dual Drives. CDs are almost obsolete at the moment.

Probably not, otherwise it would be described... I assume that is why the product Sandisk SSD Notebook Upgrade Kit is sold separately.

Read/write rate of the Sandisk is a little faster, but Max. Random 4K Read/Write are higher on the Samsung. In everyday use you won't notice a tangible difference just because the values are so close to each other, it only becomes noticeably faster/slower in benchmarks.
