I woud not advise to buy this model, it has 4 HDMI inputs but it does not have quality speaker terminals. This model would be a better match and it also has more inputs: Onkyo TX-NR6100 (7.2 Kanal, FM, DAB+) If you could spend a bit more, you would get a much more future proof quality AV receiver from Onkyo, but as an entry level receiver, the TX-SR494DAB would certainly also do.
This article is not WLAN-capable.

In the operating instructions and on the device there is nothing about eARC, only ARC. eARC is supposed to have a larger bandwidth and allow audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and co. However, I have only connected the receiver via HDMI cable and can transfer titles with Dolby Atmos signal from the TV to the device, whereby Atmos is then also played. I hope this has helped.
