That doesn't really make sense. Digitec is not gonna provide all nokia 8 devices with updates, that has to be nokia. Nokia 8 is currently only in the beta with oreo, might google a bit or wait for the providing updates. Don't forget, it even changes in diffrent regions eu,us,as.

I am not aware of any disadvantages or negative differences. Of course, the dual-SIM variant can also be used with only one SIM card.
