I have a Netstmo Home camera in use. It cannot recognise our cat's face (it is snow-white). However, it reports "movement detected" when it goes into the kitchen to eat. I have installed the camera quite high up, at a distance of about 5m from the kitchen, but it may be possible to achieve better results at a shorter distance.
Directly on the PC: no. But via an FTP server or on Dropbox. Greetings - Werner
Having only found instruction manuals dated 2015, I suspect the camera is still about the same. Of course, the inner workings of the camera may still be new. I think you can take a chance. But this is only my guess and unfortunately not substantiated.
best to ask Netatmo.com.
I use since couple of years and it is free. With the netatmo application you have freely live view, notifications, etc
I was able to check and currently it doesn't look like we will be adding it to the range. However, I can't talk about the future as it may change.
That's how it is with us, movements and light changes are detected.
Since my last reply to a purchase from this bubble here received quite clever lifestyle recommendations, I continue to refrain from replying.
Yes, I have two in use at the same time.
Yes, via browser ; (my.netatmo.com) register, install new devices and configure are possible!
This will not work. It needs the proprietary Netatmo software. But you can store the video on the Synology NAS. I did this via the ftp protocol.
Yes, it's the same with the camera I bought about 5 years ago. I think it has to do with the sensitivity of the microphone in order to record as much noise as possible. It's not great, but it's probably standard with this product.
...so I like the colour. :-) It's better than the one in the picture.
As far as I know, it only works with Dropbox. The integration of the app into the Dropbox universe is quite tight, so you see, for example, on each picture whether it is on Dropbox or not. Or the FTP access mentioned above. It doesn't necessarily have to be in-house, if you have a domain with hosting somewhere on the internet, you'll certainly have FTP access there too.
Correct - the camera will (measured with the FLIR) up to > 45° at room temperature. I doubt whether this is good for the electronics in the long run. Every now and then I have dropouts, but I can't say whether it's due to an overload of the power supply or the temperature development in the camera electronics. I myself am very sceptical about this model. Other products (complete weather station) are top.
Yes, I also have two in use and they work perfectly. In the app this also fits wonderfully (live image can be switched back and forth by swiping).
I've also had problems because my power-saving functions suppressed the notifications. I would deactivate the app's power-saving function and see if that helps. It varies depending on the smartphone manufacturer.
Dear Daniel No, the camera cannot be configured in this way. It also does not record continuously, but only when there is movement or when you are directly online. As far as I know, continuous recording is not possible. 2. the counter can possibly be read if it is well lit, but if you only work with the night vision mode, this is definitely not possible. For your application I would not use this camera. Sorry. Patrick
Your OS does not matter, the Netatmo Welcome establishes the connection itself. They use their own ports, your router/firewall may block this.
I have tried to operate the Netatmo Welcome smart home camera from a different power source. Unfortunately, the app shows the error you described. Now I am operating the camera again with the original power supply. I would write to Netatmo directly for the spare part.
Yes, this is normal. If the camera has no internet connection, it cannot record, record or save to Dropbox. It will only save to the inserted memory card until it is full.
Hi Haribo3027, If you have activated audio on the Welcome, then you will also hear sound with the video. You can argue about the sound quality, but it works so far. Greetings
The tags are now linked in the accessories.
Since the camera has no actual heat sink, or the housing serves as a heat sink, increased temperatures are possible. Not 45 degrees in my case, but well over 30. So I don't think that's a cause for concern.
The motion sensor reaches approx. 3-5 metres. Movement is only detected in the camera's field of view.
