According to the manufacturer, a separate infrared transmitter is necessary. However, it does not necessarily have to be the IR Control 8.
Unfortunately, I cannot answer the question at the moment. The connection for IR Eye 2 to IR Control Pro 8 is only in the operating instructions, but not on the unit itself.
If your TV supports infra red and has a 3.5mm connection, it should work.
