Universal remote control, Infrared
The Yamaha HTR-XXXX AV receivers are supported by and listed in Logitech's compatibility database: https://support.myharmony.com/de-us/compatibility. In general (even with older devices), if the original IR remote control is available, all IR commands (key commands) can be learned. Here are the instructions for configuration: https://support.myharmony.com/de-ch/ultimate-one
Yes, that's no problem. That's exactly how I operate two of these remote controls on my devices.
Hmmmm... I'm not currently aware that hubs or lamps can be controlled with it. But I think Google should know that.
For example, do you want to operate 2 TVs with the same remote control via 2 different hubs? Unfortunately, this is not possible. The remote control only knows one hub and cannot be registered with a second one.
Hi Pascal, Yes, that fits. This FB can do everything. Most set-top boxes and TVs are controlled via infrared. Then it works the same way. If your devices are controlled via BT, you either need the hub or an IrDA receiver (e.g. for Swisscom). Greetings
Difficult to say, because everyone would have a different set of devices to connect. I think it should be no problem and it should work well for your needs. I have connected Samsung DVD, Samsung BluRay / Media player, Onkyo AV receiver, Epson beamer, Samsung TV - all works with the sigle remote without any problem and you don't need your deviced to be "smart" (e.g. my beamer isn't) nor to be connected to the internet. You configure all devices in your profile on the web page of logitec. You can further check about compatibility of your devices on the logitec web page. Good luck!
You can attach any commands to each other and save them in a function. This is stored in the personal profile and can be transferred to a new generation of the remote control when it is changed.
Correction. I have Apple Gen. 3 with IR remote control. The current Apple TV Gen. 4 has a Bluetooth remote control. But it can also receive IR. Source: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201856 This means that the Logitech remote control should work with the new Apple TV box. You can also install additional iOS apps on the new Apple TV, such as Teleboy. My information is of course without guarantee!
Yes, it works perfectly. With the "old" Swisscom TV directly out of the box, with Swisscom TV 2.0 with the help of a USB infrared adapter available from Swisscom (https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/produkte/swisscom-tv-2-0-usb-infrarot-receiver%28000000000010203085%29.html#rating-list-stars=). I was faced with the same question a few months ago and indeed: 3 seconds of googling brings the correct answer....
