LG OLED55CX
55", OLED, 4K, 2020
When I look at the price development, I assume that it was "so long in stock".
I wanted to ask if this product is UHD? other sellers say it's UHD, but this one says it's HDR only.
Yes, the TV is UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels). Explanation: 4K (4096 x 2160 pixels) is, when you get right down to it, not a standard for TVs and monitors but for production and cinema projection. Marketing and advertising, on the other hand, have led to the fact that we commonly speak of 4K devices when referring to UHD devices. HDR has nothing to do with the number of pixels but brings a higher colour spectrum and more luminosity (someone else can certainly explain this better or correct me).
without guarantee Designation Oled CX9LA in Germany, Oled CX6LA in Switzerland Oled CX6LA has Triple Tuner since autumn 2020 (previously Twin Tuner) and new Auto Calibration
What is the difference between )LA and 6LA?
1299 is not the new discount price...They had 80 on sale for 899 but these are now gone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is apparently because the display of the 48-inch variant is practically a by-product of the production of the 75-inch variant. That is why it is coupled in price.
Hello Good question. I can only guess at the moment. In general: Just because the box supports 4K does not necessarily mean that 4K is always displayed. I don't have the TV UHD box from Swisscom myself. Is it guaranteed that it will always receive a picture in 4K? If it only receives 1080p (HD) or 1920p (Full HD), then the picture is too small on the 4K display (then it has to draw the pixels larger and then the picture is scaled) and would be optimal on an HD or Full HD TV. Does the Samsung also support 4K? If not, then the programme is very poor in HD or Full HD quality. I also just bought the LG CX, but I haven't had much chance to test it and use it yet. The first thing you could do is find out, possibly with the help of Swisscom, whether the service really does broadcast 4K. If you can rule this out, then try a different cable (if available). Otherwise, I would read the manual or ask the manufacturer directly.
Does the LG 55CX come with a stand? I have read that this is missing from the GX model, for example.
Yes, with stand approx. 38x18 cm plus cover strip across the entire width of the screen.
I don't have this exact wall mount, but I'm sure it will fit well! There are 4 threaded holes on the TV for it. These are on the lower, wider part of the TV. So no problem at all! The LG itself is also a top TV!
The price displayed, there is no promotion for this product. For more information, please contact customer service: https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/fr/requests/new
Yup, works great and is quick to connect. Tested with Android (mobile phone) and PC.
Good evening, the TV is about 20-25cm flat on a piece of furniture
Exactly, according to the manufacturer all 4 connections are HDMI 2.1
Er ist cx 9 https://www.lg.com/ch_de/tv/lg-oled55cx6la
The TV doesn't have DTS - LG didn't want to pay the licence fees any more. But with eARC to a DTS capable receiver/soundbar it should not be a problem.
The difference is the number of TV tuners, 1 in the CX and 2 (or 3) in the 9. Apart from particular use, there is no point in having several tuners, so take the cheapest one
Doesn't seem to be possible with the 20 models, according to LG.
There is a PCMCI port which to my understanding is ok for smartcard but I didn't test it
I have hung the TV on the wall with one arm without a base. That way it can be swivelled. With the foot, the screen cannot be swivelled.
I did a quick google for you: Yes, the TV has Wi-Fi. According to the manufacturer's website https://www.lg.com/de/tv/lg-oled55cx9la WLAN (802.11ac) and Bluetooth (v5.0).
Yes to both questions.
The cx9lb is a little cheaper and has only two of four hdmi 2.1, the cx9la has richer colours and the latest chip, but for gamers all cx models are very suitable. If I'm not mistaken, the cx6la has 40 gbs while the cx9la has the full bandwidth of 48 gbs. It doesn't matter as all 4k 120 fps are playable( with optimised games) access ! I took the cx6la, the madness at cold was with 4k 120 fps my A/T ratios doubled. Merry Christmas.
That can't be answered like that. There are minimal differences depending on which "regional version" you take (e.g. OLED55CX6 or OLED55CX9). For the average consumer, however, these differences are completely irrelevant in my opinion.
Yes, but on my OLED55CX I measure 745 mm from the floor with the stand to the top edge.
55" and above are now mass produced. So the big panels are sort of common and the CX is discounted everywhere. 48" and smaller are newer and will progressively get more available. The PC community is waiting anxiously to have OLED panels at decent price. The 48" is a step towards that PC monitor/TV. They don't discount that yet.
As Expatriate wrote below (29.11.20), this is one of the reasons: "The CX has more brightness than the BX. If you have a bright room, the CX would be better. If you have a dark room or watch mostly in the evening, the BX will do." Another reason is the better processor: the CX has an Alpha 9 Gen 3 AI image processor, the BX Alpha 7 Gen 3 AI image processor. Also, the CX's stand is wider, so it can "spread" the sound into the room better. I think the BX is more for hanging on the wall. That's why I bought the CX and I'm very happy with it. Here is a detailed comparison in German: https://www.zambullo.de/fernseher/lg-oled-bx-2020-vs-lg-oled-cx-2020-tv-vergleich-und-kaufberatung-ist-der-oled-tv-cx-wirklich-besser-als-der-kleine-bruder-lg-oled-bx.html
It is very easy to set the channel and then the audio language, within 10-15 seconds, but you have to go into the menu, there is no button on the remote control.
