Just tested it: Yes, it works. I didn't connect the printer to the computer and turned off the wifi. I was able to make a copy.

The printer can only do 2.4 Ghz. And I don't know what kind of router you get from Salt; but if it can do 5Ghz, it can do 2.4 Ghz.

I'm not sure I understand the question, as I'd say that's the only way to get paper in there. 🙃 The hatch at the front opens and you drop the sheets onto a loading ramp. When the machine is fully closed as in the picture, there are no sheets loaded in the printer.
