Questions about GoPro HERO10 Black

Given how many Digitec users are complaining about this model overheating, year after year, can someone recommend an alternative ? Are the GoPros 11 or 12 any more stable ? Or is there an alternative/better brand you'd suggest ?

I never had overheating problems with the Hero 10. I have plenty of problems with the Hero 11 Mini and Hero 11 Black. I would rather get a hero 10 (with gps) or a hero 12 (no more gps inside). So go for the Hero 10, good price - good quality.

Can I make long recordings (10 hours, e.g. a flight) with it? Is it possible to connect a PowerBank and charge it while recording?

Currently the GoPro Hero 10 is at chf 379 on GoPro.com Any chance to price match this for the duration of their sale ? Id rather buy here than there :)

Are there any reports from the community? I would be particularly interested in the issue of overheating, as there seems to be a problem with the Hero10...

It's a bit early to be able to answer such questions conclusively or with any certainty. I've had my camera since last Saturday and played around with it a bit over the weekend. I can confirm the positive facts such as better resolution with more FPS, significantly faster response time and compatibility with Hero 9 accessories. I didn't notice any overheating in the few hours my camera was running. However, this is certainly also due to the fact that the camera is sufficiently cooled on the motorbike thanks to the airstream and the associated sufficient fresh air. However, overheating is not just a problem for GoPro and can affect any camera in certain situations. I speak from experience. What I want to say... it depends very much on the intended use. All in all, I am very satisfied with the camera so far and would buy it again, especially at the current special offer price.

I am in despair!!!! I received a GoPo 10 Black Edition as a gift. The first thing I did was to fully charge the battery and when I tried to use the camera, I only had Chinese characters on the screen. I now need to change the language, but don't know how and the camera won't reset to original. Can anyone help me?

Hello everyone, I have been using my Go Pro 10 for 3 days now in the Maldives, including the underwater case. However, the camera heats up extremely quickly and strongly, even just when transferring data or snorkelling for a short time, the camera is almost too hot to carry by hand after 5 minutes... Can anything be done about this? (I know Go Pro has a tendency to heat up but this seems extreme to me...) Thanks!

Hello, I have a similar problem, the camera switches itself off because of the heat. Somewhere in the menu you can set whether the camera is cooled by circulating air/wind or not. Then the performance is lower, but less heat is produced and the battery life is longer.

How well does the gps work with the 10 ? I would like to use it for skiing.

I find this camera very good. I have also used it many times. But since I don't use the GPS, I can't give any information about it.

Does the housing also fit the GoPro 10? Unfortunately, this is not clear from the product description. The GoPro website offers a protective housing for both cameras. However, it is not clear whether this is the same housing for both cameras.

I would like to buy the Hero10 but is it available in a bundle wan? And would it fit into my existing Hero7 uw housing or would I have to buy the 9? Say up to 60m depth.
