The board had to be returned, the bios was so fragile that the computer always crashed. I have never experienced this before. With the Asus Prime, everything worked without problems.
Hello,
Yes, this CPU is compatible with the motherboard. Here is the support list: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z790-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-10/support#support-cpu
The i5-14600KF is supported on the Z790 AORUS ELITE AX with an 8+8 phase parallel power supply design that ensures a stable power supply. This design is designed to unleash the full power of Intel processors and provides sufficient power for Turbo Boost modes. However, the actual performance also depends on other system components and cooling.
There is generally no Wi-Fi antenna. As Wi-Fi is a wireless connection. The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard has a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet LAN port for wired network connections.
My recommendation: be quiet, Straight Power. Very good efficiency and whisper quiet. If you take the 1000 W, you will also have reserves for the future if you ever update your graphics card. Otherwise, the 850 W is also sufficient for your current configuration
The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard has more than one SSD connector. It offers a total of four M.2 connectors:
- One M.2 connector on the CPU (M2A_CPU).
- Three M.2 connectors on the chipset (M2P_SB, M2Q_SB, and M2M_SB).
All these connectors support PCIe 4.0 x4 or SATA SSDs, depending on the configuration.
Yes, the BIOS can be flashed without a CPU. It is described by Gigabyte as Q-Flash Plus.
Pay attention to which revision of the mainboard you have (Rev 1.1 has different BIOS versions than Rev 1.0) but you can't flash anything (I also used the wrong BIOS at first).
But it also works if you install CPU/RAM and connect a monitor. The PC starts and you can enter the BIOS or the BIOS Flash Menu and perform the BIOS update from there.
Hmm difficult without further details (which ram, power supply etc.).Have the same with a 13700k and runs like clockwork. My checklist would be the following:
Heat conductive paste o.k.?
Foil removed from the CPU cooler on the socket?
Remove the RAM and try with only one bar. (alternately)
BIOS works ?
The uppermost one has the CPU PCIe lanes, which should offer better performance, whereas the others have Chipset lanes. The uppermost one also has a better thermal guard.
So I would use that one if I can, which I in fact do use without issues.
Hello all
I would be very happy if someone could help me.
The CPU light on my mainboard is yellow.
The following components are used:
https://www.digitec.ch/de/shoplist/show/dfef8a88a5f855361f79cfab13fe0d2f
Mainboard is rev 1.2
I have checked everything for compatibility and should be iO according to the manufacturers.
I have currently set up everything "laboratory" style.
The CPU, power supply, CPU cooler and front panel pins for switching on are connected.
I tested the power supply once with only the MB connection. Nothing happens, CPU LED lights up, no signal.
I also tried the variant with additional power for the CPU, additional 8-pin. With this power supply, the CPU led flashes very briefly and then the RAM led and restarts every 5 seconds. I have tried 2 RAMs on 1, 3 and 2, 4. single Setup I have tried all 4.
I have updated the bios via the QFlash. Removed CMOS battery for 10 min. checked CPU fan and tried others. After no idea how many hours I can't think of anything. I hope someone can think of something...
It already goes on the board. The question is, does it go into the housing? I hope you have a big enough tower.
I have a 3090 which is 31cm long on the board. I have looked at a 4060 Ti. It was 28.10cm, so shorter than mine. According to the picture, it looks the same thickness.
This card occupies two slots, so if you have other cards in the PCI slots, there could be problems. I don't have any additional cards for SSD or sound etc. My M2 SSDs are under the graphics card on the board. I had to pull a fan cable around the GPU, which was a bit complicated. But otherwise no problem.
Note that the PCI slot has a small lever at the end. Always open this when inserting and removing the graphics card.
No idea but maybe someone here can help me best... I have put together a PC, ordered and used exactly the MB... Everything is connected correctly etc. but I currently get the CPU light (yellow) on permanently... I have tried that so that I can rule out many things (including that the CPU is on the **sch) Can someone please help me? BIOS update has been done EVERYWHERE. CPU out and in again etc.. This is the following CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K.
CPU cooler is running, CPU cooler as well as the fans are running (only from the cooler) the other 6 (top and bottom not) however the RGB's are running. Everything else does not start because there is most likely an error with the CPU somewhere... Please can someone help me... I'm tearing my hair off Thank you
