I ordered the watch a week ago from digitec.ch and it is the latest version. It worked great, a quick update of the firmware etc. and off it went.
Check the manual under "DND" - this is the Do-Not-Disturb mode that suppresses notifications. It can be activated automatically during the set sleep time, for example, which can be changed in the system settings.

I gave this watch to my son, but I have a similar model myself. As far as I know, Garmin also offers an internet connection for a fee. Otherwise it probably works without, but only with saved Garmin users. My husband could receive it via the Garmin app he uses.

As long as the owner has the sales receipt, the owner can claim the warranty for this watch. However, we can only process a warranty case here in Switzerland, so if the repair is completed, he or she must collect the watch from one of our shops or from an address of his choice here in CH.

No, the watch does not have a touchscreen. Otherwise the 21 days of battery life would not be possible ;-)
