There is a huge difference between these two subscriptions. With the connect subscription you only have 3 GB of data per month, with the iot Daten Flat you have unlimited data capacity. Conclusion: If you have little traffic, take the cheaper one (action), if you have a lot of traffic, then take the iot Daten Flat.

To answer your second question, regarding the phone number. You simply need two SIM slots in the mobile phone (dual sim). One sim card from your normal provider, e.g. swisscom. And the second sim from digitec. With android, you can then set sim 1 (main sim card) to be responsible for calls and sms and sim 2 (digitec sim) for mobile data. The internet then runs via sim 2, i.e. digitec.

There is a ticket system in the customer portal and the option to contact them by phone from 8am to 6pm. However, I have never tried this. You can find the ticket system after logging in via the help link at the bottom of the page. Telephone if you look in Frequently asked questions.

The SIM card you mentioned is suitable for use with a 4G camera as it offers 4G/LTE network coverage. However, it is not possible to use this SIM card with multiple cameras at the same time as it is designed for a single device use. If you want to add a second camera that runs on the same subscription, you would need to purchase an additional SIM card. Digitec's MultiSIM option could be an alternative to connect multiple devices to one subscription, but this would incur additional costs.

The upload speed of 10 Mbit/s should be sufficient for live streaming a webcam. For a webcam in Full HD quality, a bandwidth of around 3 Mbps is usually required, while higher resolutions such as 2160p can require up to 10 Mbps. Therefore, the subscription should be suitable for most webcam applications.

My experience with the cards is extremely bad as they use the Sunrise network which is constantly overbooked. At various times of the day, the connection drops out despite a good signal. The support team couldn't help either, even though they tried very hard. In the end they said it was Sunrise's problem. It may be that there are other cells that work better but for me Sunrise is over, even with mobile SIM cards the network is not usable. I doubt whether the 0.4Mbps will work with the fluctuations for a cam. A Salt SIM worked better for me...

The SIM card in digitec's "iot Data flat (30 days unlimited 300 Mbit/s unlimited)" subscription is compatible with the Sunrise network, which offers 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G coverage. The Netgear Hotspot Nighthawk M1 you mention is compatible with 4G/LTE networks and can also operate on 3G and 5G networks, thanks to its support for several frequency bands, including those used by Sunrise. Since the Nighthawk M1 supports LTE Advanced Pro and four-band aggregation, it should be able to deliver the speeds advertised in your subscription, including up to 300 Mbps, in areas where Sunrise network reception is good. So you shouldn't experience any significant reduction in speed with this device, provided the APN settings are correctly configured for the Digital Republic operator and the Sunrise network.

The digitec "iot flat data (30 days unlimited 0.4 Mbit/s unlimited)" SIM card can be used for a surveillance camera, but it has some important limitations. - Data speed: The download speed is limited to less than 0.4 Mbit/s, which may be too slow to transmit high-quality video or real-time images. This may not be sufficient for some surveillance cameras that require higher data rates for smooth transmission. - Usage: This SIM is ideal for applications requiring low data rates, such as sensors, tracking devices or navigation solutions, but may not be optimal for applications requiring more intensive data transmissions, such as surveillance cameras. If the resolution and quality of the camera does not require a high data rate, this SIM may be sufficient. However, if you need higher quality video transmission, it would be better to consider a subscription with a higher data speed.
