It runs for 30 days. You can of course deactivate the automatic extension, but you cannot interrupt the 30 days.

Yes, that will be quite enough! You can even use Whatsapp to make calls. For video, on the other hand, the bit rate is too low. It's a perfect solution for checking public transport timetables or weather forecasts, for example. Provided you have a smartphone that supports 2 SIM cards so you can make calls with the other one.

Yes, correct. My son is using it with no problems. You cannot do a video call though, as it require more data speeds.

Yes, you can. In the Connect dashboard, you can set the card to off or select a faster connection. However, I don't know the maximum time.
