No, the Pure Edition is only distributed exclusively by the manufacturer.
Should fit! Either use the PCIe 1.1 x1_1 slot above or the PCIe 2.0 x1_2 slot below the graphics card.
No, the Plus has the manufacturer's number 70SB174000003.
No, BUT: The card uses the technical successor of CMSS 3D, the so-called "BlasterX Acoustic Engine", which achieves the same effect. If a game already has a 3D surround emulator, I would switch it off. - Otherwise the whole thing sounds more irritating than useful. - But I am glad to have it.
There is an spdif output on the sound card. It is the black square on the far left in the third picture.
Driver and software is pure bullshit ! Don't buy this shity soundcard
Hello The 4Pol. Power connection is only needed for the LED illumination - the board also works without the power connection... It just stays dark ;-)
Ja, Windows 10 32/64 bit, 8.1/8.0 32/64 bit, Windows 7 32/64 bit Treiber giebts hier: https://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=561&catName=Soundkarten&subCatID=1189&prodID=23095&prodName=Sound%20BlasterX%20AE-5
Hello, yes the backplate is black and white as on the picture.
Hi, for the gpu there are cables called (RISER) it would have to be that but in PCI-E x1, I hope I could help you. Greetings
Der Windows 10 -Treiber für Ihre Soundkarte SB X-Fi Elite Pro können Sie hier über support.creative.com abrufen: https://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=1&subCatID=208&prodID=14064&prodName=Sound%20Blaster%20X-Fi%20Elite%20Pro&subCatName=X-Fi%20Series&CatName=Sound%2bBlaster&VARSET=prodfaq:PRODFAQ_14064,VARSET=CategoryID:1
No extra cable is necessary. In my case, everything was included in the scope of delivery. The LED can be connected directly to the sound card.
The sound card has an output for headphones and an input for a microphone, the easiest thing would probably be to use a splitter like this one. (mobile headset adapter) Lindy PC adapter cable (stereo, headset adapter) I did not see that a headset has to work with only one connector, neither in the product description nor in the instruction manual. I therefore assume that both only work on the respective connectors marked for them.
Yes the board has an extra headphone jack: 1 optical TOSLINK output, 1 x 3.5mm Mic In/Line In, 1 x 3.5mm Headphone/Headset Out, 1 x 3.5mm Front Out, 1 x 3.5mm Rear Out, 1 x 3.5mm Center/Sub Out
Hello You can download the driver software from the Internet. There you can load prepared and your own equalisers. And you can adjust everything very easily. Greetings
The driver is totally crap, the software is pure crap. Every time they upgrade Creative does something worse, they can't get their card to work! My advice: ASUS sound cards, Creative for me is NEVER again!
Hello, still the owner of an older SB card, but curious: On the DE website, see https://de.creative.com/p/sound-cards/sound-blasterx-ae-5, it can be seen from a picture of the card that the rear aperture is only labelled "Optical OUT". Likewise, in the "Technical Data" section it mentions, among other things, "...Input options (main unit)...1 optical TOSLINK output...". From my own experience, I can only say that Creative Sound Blaster Z (PCI-E x1) has both an optical input and an optical output; perhaps that would be an alternative...
