Is this motherboard compatible with 3600 mhz ram or is it limited to 3000 mhz ram?

Yes, in OC even up to 4400 Mhz. You can easily use 3600. Just activate the XMP in the bios.

Hi all The specifications say PCI-E x16 @16 times two. This means that two graphics cards with 16 lanes can be operated simultaneously. On the manufacturer's page it says that either x16 or x8/x8 can be used as with any ''normal'' mainboard. Which is correct now? Is there a minboard that can handle the full computing power of two graphics cards? Greetings

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to the Extreme? For example, are the VRMs cooled in exactly the same way? (I do not intend to use a cooling system).

It says in the specifications that the motherboard is compatible with the i7G9, but it doesn't say anything about the i7G6. It has the same socket. Is it still compatible but not listed? Or are there other factors involved?

Yes, then you simply have to activate the XMP profile in the bios (or manually overclock. But it's more difficult).

Yes, I have that too. However, whenever I plug in the black one (should be the faster one), the computer starts up by itself. Very strange thing...

A small question about VRM cooling: is there a difference in performance between going from the VRMs to the CPU or vice versa? Has anyone tried this out?

I've never tried it but would say it doesn't make a noticeable difference as the coolant normally flows at enough speed to prevent heat build up. Do as you like and make it look good ;D
