Absolutely yes
The 2nd slot will probably not work. However, you can use the 3rd slot for the sound card. Sound cards do not need a 16-slot, a 1x or 4x is usually sufficient. The lowest slot is not covered.

Compatibility between the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WI-FI motherboard and the Corsair iCUE H100i Elite Capellix XT water cooling system is not directly dependent on motherboard compatibility, as water cooling systems are typically connected via USB or SATA and are not specifically based on motherboard models. However, the iCUE software can work with ASUS motherboards to control RGB lighting, although there may occasionally be conflicts with other software tools. To ensure that the iCUE software works correctly, you may want to disable other monitoring or control software.
Automatically generated from the .The more common name for the graphics card would be MSI RTX 2070 ARMOR and yes, that fits.
Since you don't elaborate on what SSD "slots" you mean: https://rog.asus.com/ch-de/motherboards/rog-crosshair/rog-crosshair-viii-hero-wi-fi-model/spec
With this mainboard, the BIOS can only be updated without a CPU if a power supply unit is connected. https://www.pcbuildersclub.com/2020/11/bios-update-fuer-amd-ryzen-5000-ohne-cpu-diese-motherboards-koennen-es/
Yes, fit Both cards
Well, you've already answered the first question yourself. The one with WIFI has WLAN and Bluetooth, the other does not. You can't be completely sure about the BIOS. It may well be that a current version is already on it, but it may also need an update. But that shouldn't be a problem, because the BIOS can be done directly via USB and without a processor.
Yes, the memory works with the Noctua NH-D15. This was answered in the questions about the fan ;) https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/QuestionAndAnswer/haben-die-ram-und-die-gpu-neben-diesem-monster-noch-platz-ich-denke-da-an-die-kombination-mit-dem-as-333560
Yes you can connect more drives to the SATA PORT, it is described which ports are still free. I think there are 4 left if SSD on M2.1 and M2.2 are occupied.
Hello Hulkinator, The bios is already on it, of course, just install a properly cooled processor, RAM and hard disk, and you're done. The bios is very powerful compared to what I knew years ago when I built my last computer. Good luck, Kay
Yes, but not recommended for the PC and not a permanent solution.
I also use the cooler and the RAM fits well under it. It's best to just install the RAM before you put the cooler on, otherwise it will be a bit tricky to install. Greetings
You need a 3 slot NVlink bridge for this board. If you have asus cards, you must use an asus bridge, as the number of pins varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. This one here: ASUS ROG-NVLINK-3 unless you install it in the THOR-case and want to mount the grakas horizontally and use them in SLI then you need a 4 slot NVlink bridge which is then specified by the case.
